When is Ramadan in Singapore (2026)?

Based on the Islamic calendar published by Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), Ramadan in Singapore is expected to begin on the evening of 18 February 2026, with the first day of fasting on 19 February 2026.

As with all Islamic months, the official start of Ramadan will still be confirmed through the moon-sighting announcement by MUIS. Muslims in Singapore will begin their daily fast from dawn (Subuh) until sunset (Maghrib) throughout the month.

Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, increased prayers, charity, and community gatherings. Across Singapore, mosques will hold terawih prayers, families will gather for iftar, and Ramadan bazaars will once again bring vibrant halal food options to many neighbourhoods.

Since the Islamic calendar follows the lunar cycle, Ramadan moves about 10 to 11 days earlier each year.
